1841 'PLATED' 1D REDS ON COVERS. A spectacular collection of 1d red imperfs on covers, expertly written- up and displayed on album pages. Each cover bears a 1d red- brown imperf with each stamp identified by plate number. The collection runs from plate 34 to plate 124 with only 13 missing for total completion. Almost every stamp is a 4- margined example without faults as this specialist collector had high standards. Only a few examples with 3 margins including the very scarce plate 107, each is also annotated with information regarding postal markings and often also with additional plating notes.
