1848-59 2d blue imperf "POST PAID", early impression, showing the "PENOE" for PENCE variety, SG 8a, used with missing lower right hand corner, this badly repaired, and with the variety partly obscured by the cancel, virtually no margins, but otherwise sound with good colour and the main part of the design clear and sharp, a pre-printing crease running horizontally across the stamp a third of the way from the top.
