1856 Cover from London to a Lieutnant serving in the Bombay Artillery, re-directed to Aden, with three-colour franking of embossed 6d., 1841 1d. and 1841 2d. (2) all tied by numeral "50" of Victoria Docks, and on the reverse with London '26 Aug 56' despatch cds in red, Bombay cds and "ADEN/OC 12/1856" arrival cds of Aden Camp (Proud D1). The 6d. adhesive cut-to-shape and the 1d. stamp affected by cover fold/crease and cover's back-flap incomplete. Nevertheless an attractive franking and a scarce cover to Aden Camp.
Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
