Skyline Press 1985 San Francisco is many things to many
different people, natives aand visitors alike. For some it is a
city of magnificent vistas, a panoramic kaleidoscope that, once
witnessed, can never be forgotten. For others it is a city of
hills-fifty-three of thm, lrge and small, some crowned by parks,
some surmonted by landmark churches ans towers and by the most
famous landmarks of all, the cable-cars. Then again, San Francisco

Marcia Muller. He has also written numerous other novels and short
stories, and has edited several widelypraised anthologies. A
California native, Mr Pronzini lives with his wife in San
Francisco, the setting for most of his fiction. THE WEST LIGHT AGENCY has perfected one
of the world's largest collections of photographs depicting
California. Members of the group, such as LARRY LEE, MARH
STEPHENSONn and others whose work appears in this volume, are
regular contributors to the major national magazines. West Light
