TAIPEI 2023 – 39th Asian International Stamp Exhibition is held on August 11-15, 2023, at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. To mark the event, Chunghwa Post has released a set of postage label featuring the purple crow butterfly (Euploea spp.). The purple crow butterfly (Euploea spp.) is a medium-sized butterfly with a wingspan of 4 to 8 cm. When open its fore-wings gleam with a bluish sheen, the stuff of dreams. It breeds throughout Taiwan in spring and summer but in winter it migrates south to what is called overwintering site. In recent years measures taken on the national highway to ensure the butterfly’s safe migration have created a precedent for ecological protection at home and abroad.The postage label will be available on August 11, 2023
