Le billet de 50 francs Cérès a été créé le 5 août 1937 et émis jusqu’au 18 avril 1940 par la Banque de France123. Il a été retiré de la circulation à partir du 16 décembre 1943123 et a cessé d’avoir cours légal le 4 juin 1945.

La description du billet est la suivante:

Recto: Buste de Cérès (Déméter) à gauche. Statue allongée à droite. Jardins de Versailles.

Verso: Mercure avec son caducée à droite. Corne d’abondance à gauche.

Dimensions: 90 mm x 155 mm123.
